This is my Journey !
Hi guys!

This is me. Where can I start? I'm just an average teenager with a disability who thrives to become a better form, who does all she needs to do to improve her personality. I am a youth who does all that is needed to gain the confidence and determination I need to be successful and I want others to learn and change their "never ending tears" into victory.

Life to me has never been a bed of roses however it has been an unstable roller coaster that has its ups, downs and challenges tagged along. There are many obstacles that need to be faced and tackled to ensure that I achieve all I desire to be in life. Most of the time you face difficulties, but the worse thing you can do is to not overcome them. God has many ways of testing a person's faith and will continue doing so. The best thing to do is to take it, tackle it, then to keep moving forward because "the pain you feel today is the strength you feel tomorrow. For every challenge encountered, there is an opportunity for growth".

For example, I have a few medical conditions;
First off, I have scoliosis which is defined as the curvature of the spine . I have had a countless number of surgeries and treatments to improve the way I look however it all came to an end date. I have had many surgeries where one had been to support my spine with 2 magnetic growing rods which had been placed in between the year 2012 to ensure that the amount of surgeries needed will decrease. After that stage in time, I had been treated with a machine for about 3 to 4 years which was helpful towards growing the rod needed to improve my posture and increase my height. My family and I had been told that the treatment will end eventually when I reach my maximum height but this had not mattered significantly as I still believed that I will get the chance to finalise the alignment of my spine until I was sadly disappointed. The doctors had then told me a while after that I would have the chance to undergo the final surgery but there were greater risks involved and said that I had all that I needed, to be able to lead a normal lifestyle.
This specific dream had always mattered to me because I had constantly been bullied verbally addressing the way I look like a twitter page. Either I was called a camel because of the humps, or a watermelon due to the curve...or a turtle because of the bumps or even 'Mrs Hunchback'. They had done everything possible to try and bring me down during the years of my education so that I would believe that I was not like them but different in a terrible way. Many rejected me and shoved me to the side using their harsh terms and phrases in which they called an expression. Equality was also just a 'term' to them that did not need to be expressed nor portrayed. The bullies implicitly labelled it 'disabled lives don't matter'.

My Sister's support
She has always been supporting me through it all. I am able to see and feel her pain when I go through many painful things. She is one of the reasons why I do everything I am doing today because she motivates me.
Sometimes I feel bad for my sister because I've always been the centre of attention and she might feel left out. She may have felt it sometimes but she has never shown it. I am thankful to God that she is able to understand and support me through my journey.
My Mother's support
I am so grateful for my mother. She is my best friend. She's been there for me through it all. She always supports me with whatever makes me happy.
She made sure that when bullies hurt me, my frown turns around to a smile. She is my best medicine. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her. My journey so far has been a struggle but she never gave up on me and stayed by my side. She never lacked on hope. She is my inspiration and role model. I am so grateful To God for her. Words can't describe it.

We can all do what we set our mind to no matter the walls/barriers that may come in between, because if you climb them stress free the sky would then become your next limit.

You can achieve so much, but you need to jump over the obstacles in the way.

Overcome your insecurities, fears and weakness because once you do, all your dreams then become possible to achieve.
